The Story of Worktables.com

Worktables.com was created through a series of events beginning about 1990 to 1991. While working in a machine shop environment, I noticed the need for production tools and process improvements everywhere. By 1993 it was clear there was a lot to learn, and by my own good luck, there were several skilled journeymen toolmakers more than willing to pass along what they could to anyone willing and able to help carry the work load. I became their student, and also began teaching myself basic machine shop processes and production methods.

I soon began working on my own in fabrication and machining. Polaris Industries of Roseau, Minnesota had contracted me as a vendor in tool making and design. Our current table design is simply an expansion of what myself and Phil Johnson of Intercept Industries was working on with Polaris at that time. The ball was handed to me, and it was up to me to run with it. I've been running ever since – designing, manufacturing and testing our ergonomic product line. The need for ergonomic back saving devices is everywhere you look in industrial applications. Down time from back injuries is too costly for employers. Production numbers can only improve with proper part positioning.

We incorporated in June of 1995 and moved into our current location in a former school building in Gatzke, Minnesota.Since then, we have shipped products daily to points across North America.
