HISTORY OF WORKTABLES
The company came about due to a series of events that started between 1990 and 1991 while working in a machine shop. During this time, we noticed the need for ergonomic back-saving devices in industrial applications. Downtime from back injuries are too costly for employers, and production numbers only improve in a more comfortable work enviornment.
In the year 1993, it became clearer there was a lot to learn. Fortunately, we were surrounded by several skilled toolmakers that were willing to pass along what they knew.
We soon began to work on machining and fabrication of our own. Within a short while, Polaris Industries of Roseau, Minnesota, contracted our as a vendor in tool making and design. In fact, our current table design is just an extension of what our team at Intercept Industries were working on with Polaris.
Since then we have continued designing, manufacturing, and testing our ergonomic and efficient product line. In the year 2007, we moved into our permanent location – West of Roseau at Intercept Industries, where we ship products daily across North America.
From a humble beginning to a vibrant, growing company, we have carved out a niche for ourselves in manufacturing. Our ergonomic, heavy-duty, top of the line, and cost-efficient worktables have become the industry standard. Our next goal is to become a pioneer in the industry by providing premium, innovative, and professional products and services that offer our customers a one-stop solution.
